A proper waterpark with slides, the kind you’d find in the Netherlands or on Rhodes, doesn’t exist around Kalamata. What you will find: floating inflatable water parks at sea, plus one slide-based park that’s only open to hotel guests. Here’s the full rundown.
Inflatable water parks at sea (open to everyone)
Water Park Yolo — the best option
Mikri Mantineia, about 10 km south of Kalamata toward Mani. A floating course of connected obstacles, life jackets mandatory, supervised sessions. Open 10:00–20:00, around €10 per person per hour. Rated 4.7/5 on Tripadvisor — visitors praise the cleanliness and friendly staff.
Tsakoland Water Park — the closest option
On Kalamata Beach, about 5 km from the centre and reachable by bus. Inflatable rafts at various depths. Season 1 June through 13 September, daily 10:00–20:00.
Crazy Bloom Water Park — not recommended
Also in Mikri Mantineia, same concept as Yolo, but with noticeably worse reviews (2.3/5): complaints about unfriendly staff and insufficient supervision.
A slide-based park, but hotel guests only
Aqua Park Costa Navarino
Near Pylos/Navarino Dunes, over an hour’s drive from Kalamata. Six slides and a splash pool with more than ten water games. Glowing reviews (4.7/5), but exclusive to guests of The Westin and The Romanos — no day pass for outside visitors.
Further afield
The closest classic waterparks are near Corinth: Splash Water Park (Isthmia/Loutraki, 4/5) and Water Fun (Corinth, 3/5) — both over two hours’ drive. For a family based in Kalamata, that’s not a realistic day trip.
Prices and opening hours based on reviews and available sources from 2023-2026 — check current details before you go, especially outside peak season.
