Navarineia: Battle of Navarino Commemoration

Pylos, about 50 minutes from Kalamata. An annual multi-day commemoration of the 1827 naval battle, with a religious ceremony, a re-enactment of the battle, and a cultural programme. A well-established yearly tradition, with the main ceremony usually around 20 October. The exact 2026 dates weren’t yet confirmed by the municipality at the time of writing — check pylos-nestor.gr for the current schedule.
